The brand’s goal was to test direct mail’s ability to convert customers who hadn’t made a purchase in 300-365 days. The test leveraged static postcards inviting the recipient to return for 25% off their next online purchase.

With a 2% response rate and an average order value of $94, the ROI was 252%.

As a result of the test, the brand added direct mail to their regular marketing mix for both acquisition and re-activation.
